The Longleaf CCS Hub team is pleased to announce that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has deemed the project’s Class VI application administratively complete and has advanced it to technical review. Such a review typically spans up to two years, and we are excited to be entering this phase. A Class VI permit is needed for the Longleaf CCS Hub to begin construction.

We appreciate the incredible support and encouragement from Mobile County’s local leaders, businesses, and community stakeholders. This backing is instrumental in making Tenaska’s South Alabama carbon capture and storage (CCS) project a reality.

We are dedicated to fostering a strong local presence and ensuring that local stakeholders are informed every step of the way. Your involvement and feedback are invaluable to us, and we look forward to engaging with you throughout this exciting journey.
