Highlights from Longleaf CCS Hub’s seismic survey
Dec 18, 2024
As you may know, seismic surveying was conducted earlier this year to evaluate the underground geology in northern Mobile County and its potential for safe and effective storage of carbon dioxide (CO₂). Many of you have expressed interest in learning more about this process and its results.
With the results of these surveys now in hand, we’re excited to share that the Longleaf CCS Hub is appropriately sited for carbon sequestration and to help manufacturers, industrial producers and power generating facilities meet growing environmental requirements in a cost-effective, responsible manner.
Our newest video provides a detailed look at the seismic surveying process, what we learned and how it informs the progress of this innovative carbon capture and storage (CCS) project.
